====== Mapping Knowledge ====== ===== Collaboration of Retrospective National Bibliograhies with research and heritage projects ===== This conference is co-organised with the Short Title Catalogue Vlaanderen ([[https://manual.stcv.be/p/Short_Title_Catalogue|STCV]]), who are celebrating their 25th anniversary with a programme of events.\\ The Conference will take place at the KBR Brussels on 26-27 June 2025. We invite scholars and library professionals to join us in Brussels to discuss current and future (re)use of RNB data. If you wish to attend, we invite you to send your registration to secretariat@cerl.org. \\ The aim is to address how these data are used in different contexts. Topics of interest include: * opportunities and pitfalls of data exchange between catalogues and bibliographies * current use of RNB data for book historical research * how to facilitate and encourage (future) researchers to use bibliographical data (we created a list of what is available in Europe) * how to capture research results into RNB * what types of bibliographical data are the most likely candidates for re-use in different contexts * the role of digital humanities in RNB data use, such as data visualisation Speakers include: * Thomas Wallnig, Reusing Bibliographical Data: Perspectives and Challenges in the Digital Humanities * Matthias Reif, Challenges on the Path to a Common User Interface for VD 16, VD 17, and VD 18 * Esther van Gelder and Silke Karsenberg, the Short Title Catalogue Netherlands as (linked) dataset * Tereza Kazmirowska, Baroque book printing in Prague from the perspective of digital humanities: effective use of data on Prague's printing production in the years 1621-1748 * Christian Scheidegger, Zentralbibiothek Zurich, The Bibliography of Zurich Prints 1479-1800, making a CERL database out of a printed bibliography and library catalogue
