CERL aims to preserve research data, that would otherwise be lost, so that it continues to be accessible for later consultation and re-use.
Our shared hosting environment allows us to make connections between datasets, and the service therefore has the potential to evolve into a central data hub for research data related to historic books.
Libraries, Scholars or Projects wishing to use the hosting environment in their workflow, could be provided with direct access to CERL resources, such as the Heritage of the Printed Book database and the CERL Thesaurus.
