Collection Security Summer School 2023

Our fifth in-person Collection Security Summer School focussed on working with staff and partners on Collection Security Issues. Libraries need to work with staff to keep good levels of security awareness, to engage them in drawing up policies and practices, and to develop emergency planning. Whether it is a question of moving collections in an emergency, evacuating reading rooms, increasing global vigilance or simply enhancing staff awareness, we will have to be creative and organised. With our partners, such as other libraries in our countries, monastic libraries or antiquarian booksellers, we speak about best practices and aligning our procedures. In this context, the theme for the CERL Collection Security Summer School was ‘Security Policy in Practice: Staff & Partners'.

Presentations at previous editions of the summer school are available here.
