INTERNATIONAL STANDARD FOR ARCHIVAL DESCRIPTION (ISAD(G))
Description
The standard identifies 26 elements of information as necessary for a good description and good access. However, only six of those are considered essential, particularly with a view to international exchange of information: reference (location and shelfmark), title, creator, date(s), extent and level of description.
